I don't know guys. I really don't think that the 92 team is way better than this years version.
If the '92 team plays in this year's Olympics, do you think they will destroy their competition like they did in '92? I doubt that.
The only problem is that are just pure speculation and won't have any back up proof of course unless this years dream team also destroys their competition.92 dream team at their prime playing now? They would destroy them lol

The easiest thing to say is that "Yeah, 92 team, who would beat them?" But the reality is that international teams have gone from being "just happy to play against the best" to "we can beat them" mentality. That is just my observation. It's an interesting point that I was talking to a mate about the other night. 20 Years ago (1992), there were very few international players playing in the NBA - stretching memory - Petrivc, Sabonis, Divac, Longley, Schrempf. but compare that to now to the number of International players. THe Boomers played spain last week and Spain had at least 6 current or past NBA players (http://www.basketball.net.au/fileadmin/user_upload/galleries/boomers/boxscore.JPG)
that was an awesome winning margin...but remember international ball has improved and the old dream team in todays competition wouldnt win by that much i wouldnt think...Just watching USA vs Spain, they bring up an old stat from the original dream team that during the Olympics they were 8-0 and had a AVERAGE winning margin of 43!!! Suck on that u current bums!!!!

The dream team lost to a NCAA all stars team. Suck on that old bums!!
I watched the '92 Dream Team doco last week, which featured this game, gusy like Bobby Hurley, Mashburn and Chris Webber played for the AllStars. Was fascinating footage, as was the heated scrimmage match (MJs team vs Magics team) and their partying in Monaco as a 'warm up'. Classic footage of John Stockton holding a movie camera in the street asking an american tourist who here favorite dream team player was without even recognising him off her own t-shirt! If you havent seen it yet, highly recommended.
Oh and I think Chandler vs Ewing/Robinson about sums up the yawning chasm between the two sides in class. They hypothesised on Mike & Mike on ESPN last week that the leftovers from 92 Dream Team, ie a second side would stretch the current day team.
Err, from the 'usual' places you watch quality TV, ie not on the networks here.Wouldn't mind seeing that 92 doco, where can you get it?
Ok, so the consensus says that Dream Team would beat Team USA. Now what about those "Dream Teams" made up of players from BOTH teams? What's your take on those?
Also, as a side topic here, I've seen a couple of posts about DRob backing up Ewing, or Ewing being THE C for Dream Team. It was early days back then for Dream Team, but surely the Admiral was the better of the two?? Discuss/Debate....

p.s. if you get a link to that Doco, please PM me. I havent looked in a while, but I'd love to see it.
