I've seen many many cards with a piece of the draft day hat , I have also seen auctions on NBA.com selling rookies signed draft day hats and its usually just one hat per player on the auction .
When a players gets called out / drafted , hes given One hat , goes on stage , shakes commissioners hand , goes off stage and poses for photos . The hat hes wearing when he goes on stage I feel is the actual draft worn hat 1/1 type .
The piece is very sentimental I would assume , if that was me I would take that hat home and keep it .
My question is - Are the players basically putting on a cam and wearing it for 2 seconds back stage and Panini is collecting it , "event worn" just like the jerseys ?
I was going to buy some draft day hats becuase its pretty cool to think they wore these on draft night but now Im starting to believe these hats are actually worth less and prob not even worn .
I was rambling on a bit but let me know your opinions on these draft day hats and do you think in the long run they might have any value at all ? Thanks
