It may have something to do with the fact that a few of people listed are no longer present on the site for one reason or another...

Nothing to do with that. The contribution made was, as Trey said, over 2 years ago. The guys who contributed got a thank you down the bottom of the site and it has now been removed. Did you notice the link to the webhosting company was removed also ?
