This list is imposible like I said because theres so many ways to judge mc by freestyle powers,battle powers, how good the song sounds? Records sold(dont agree with this term though) and many more that I cant think of.
 
People should post there thoughts on each catourgry it would be interesting. Havnt taken into consideration an archives dead rappers.

about the the only thing i think me and MITM can agree on is that canibus is a goddamn dope MC, i disagree in that i reckon his albums sucked a bit, and thats why he fell off the radar. his early mix tapes and freestyle cameos and stuff were mindblowing though. dont get me wrong, his albums had some nice tracks but id call canibus the best MC who made the worst albums.

im with ace i dont listen to any rap/hip hop made since about 2000, it all went to shit i reckon. there still some great underground stuff always coming out but mainstream rappers are just ****ing crap. i usually listen to the 90s stuff, which was the golden age of rap: Pac, Biggie, Beasties, Onyx, Busta, Xzibit, Dre, Snoop, KRS one, Nas, Wu Tang, and all the spin offs (my faves were Ghostface's supreme clientele and ghostface/raekwon on cuban linx, GZA's liquid swords was dope too). give me some of that any day over kanye and all that G-unit shit.
 
Hey Jza yeah man weve had some disagrements but maybe thats a good thing otherwise we would all be the same yeah I think canibus is great the jacker is the best cd in my opinion I have all but true hollywood stories cause I think tht one is rubbish but I stil also think that bis rippped the shit out of both LL and eminem I do agree with you aswell that all the old school bangas like Big L Biggie Kool g rap are kings and canot be touched dont know why nellie tried beef with Krs thats just ajoke! I still like Kanye cause hes part of the chi town crew with common and they all hang out with talib. Kanye still makes a couple of wack songs still a good few he does like the dimonds forever remix with jay z. Nice to here your opinion Jza and oh yeah Rza and Jza are some mad bangas. Wu tang clan aint notin to **** wit!

another ol skool fan huh andrew? haha, the first westside connection cd just takes me back to a time when me and my mates were about 15 and trying to be cool by smoking heaps of weed and graffing up the hood all day #-o still a pretty good album, i pulled it out the other weekend and was singing along to all the classics...bow down, gangster killer and the dope dealer etc. they thought they were too damn tough though...dissing on cypress hill and even q-tip from tribe called quest???
 
Yeh, Jza i am definately old school. I just can't get into the new stuff like 50cent or The Game. Another group i love, not sure if you heard of them before but give them a listen and that is the Alkaholiks, i never get sick of listening to there albums.

- ODB, is he outta prison yet?
- Ski Lo, did he end up getting taller?
- DJ Quick, did he himself have more dollars than sense?
- Jodeci (aka KC and JoJo), wtf???? they where pretty good as jodeci

I liked Dat Nigga Daz when he was with Death Row Records.. from there, he and everyone lost the plot.. I liked Death Rows sounds... they all sounded real gangsta and had that sound no one else had.. maybe I'm too old school, but no one sounded the same since they split..

I prefer the old school stuff to whats out now.. The Chronic would be one of the best albums ever with Murder was the case, the dogg pound, all eyez on me and doggystyle
 
Hate to say it man but ODB dead man! Poor old meth hated it when I seen him with redman as you would ODB was pretty damn good.
 
I agree with most of you's. I'm an old-skool rap & hip-hop fan as well. However, I do not mind some of the mid-new cats such as Lil' Wayne, Juvie (UTP); and of course, veteran rappers; Xzibit (He was dope, back in the Paparazzi days), Fredro Starr, Yukmouth, Uncle Scarface, DMX.

But yeah, my favourite rapper of all time is 'Pac. His music is like candy in my eyes. Easy to listen to, positive messages on some or most of his songs, all-around inspiration. Me Against The World is my favourite all-time album.

As groupies, I can't go past Bone Thugs N Harmony, Naughty by Nature & the Wu-Tang Clan. The 3 are the best groups in the history of rap, IMO.

I enjoy rap too much I think. :p I don't enjoy the latest music out, so I'm glad I collected CD's back in the days. I like to reminisce. ;)

Perhaps we should do our top 10 rap albums thread? :)
