Went to Milwaukee over this past weekend to try for the Detroit Pistons on the road. Everything I tried to do on this trip turned out to be almost the worst case scenario possible. I got lost again finding the exit to get to my hotel room just about the same way I did in Chicago last summer. When it was all said and done, I did end up finding my way around town okay. It took a couple hours for me to figure it all out. When I finally got setteled in, I ended up finding out that the Pistons switched hotels.

I figured it would of been easy to try for this team in this town and I guess it was not on this trip and before I put my results up, I will break it down how the 1st night went and how the following day went.

On the 1st night when I finally got to the hotel the Pistons were at 30 minutes later, the hotel bellboy comes out and proceeds to tell us we have to wait across the street and ends up getting mad at us for no reason at all. I only ended up staying for about another hour before I left.

The following day, I went back to the hotel in the afternoon and stayed across the street to be cautious for obvious reasons as I saw the same hotel bellboy there from last night. When it was all said and done, the bus ended up arriving to take the players to the game and a few more graphers showed up to where I guess they would normally stand at if a NBA team stays there which is the same street as the team bus is on from a reasonable distance of course. The same hotel bellboy got inferiorated again and ended up calling the cops on us for no reason at all. When it was all said and done, the cops did end up coming forcing us to wait across the street. I will have a question I want to ask the citizens of Milwaukee but before I do, I have results to share despite the mess the hotel ended up becoming and also what I was able to get at the game. Here are the results:

Detroit Pistons in Milwaukee 2/6/09-2/7/09

Bucks

Francisco Elson 1 card (1 for Xavier13)

Pistons

Antonio McDyess 1 8x10 photo, and a pic with (Thankfully I got him before the bellboy approached us. I also finally got a pic with him for a change which took me 4 years to finally get done!!!)
Walter Sharpe 1 8x10 photo of me with Sharpe, and...(FLAT OUT RECOGNIZED ME FROM THE D-LEAGUE. I will explain more below...)
Michael Curry 5/5 cards
Dave Cowens 1 card
Harold Ellis 2 cards

I also have this story to share...

Walter Sharpe ended up being the only Piston we got at the bus on the 2nd day. He also signed for everybody at the game to. When I approached him, he FLAT OUT RECOGNIZED ME FROM THE D-LEAGUE when I saw him down there earlier in the season. I guess he was called back up to the Pistons again. I ended up talking to him for a couple minutes and when it was all said and done, he was going to try to give his shoes to me at the game. I did tell him I would be at the game and will try to get down there at the end of the game. He was impressed I came so far away to see the Pistons play. After my chat with Sharpe ended at the hotel, he got on the bus as the cops arrived forcing us across the street where we were unable to get anyone for the rest of the day at the hotel. I also did not hear of Iverson signing at all and we couldn't get in position to ask him when he came out.

I did go to the game and this game turned out to be alot of fun to be at. Pistons won in overtime and then the players come off the floor our way. Iverson and Rip thru their headbands into the crowd, Then came the player that remembered me from the D-League Walter Sharpe. Sharpe ends up seeing me and walked right to where I was standing at. When he finally got to the spot where I was standing at, he ends up stopping unties the 1st shoe takes it off and hands it to me. Then he unties the 2nd shoe takes it off and hands it to me. I WAS SHOCKED!!! Honestly, I never expected him to remember me at all. I proudly share with you my first pair of NBA GU shoes that I got from an NBA player:

Walter Sharpe 1 Pair of GU shoes!!!

That is all I got result wise to share with you all on this trip.

Despite the mess the hotel became in Milwaukee, I still am surprised that I got those shoes from Sharpe. Thankfully Sharpe came out of the hotel before the cops arrived.

Anyhow I did also talk to 3 basketball graphers in Milwaukee and they all honestly admitted to me that it was the first time ever that they were forced across the street over trying to get autographs from an NBA team. This surprised me to...

Alright well that is all I got to share from this trip. Sorry for the long read as it was a long hard weekend. As always, I will welcome all comments if anyone has any. Thanks alot for looking!!!

Next up for me: 50% chance I do the Hawks tommorow. Otherwise I will get to do them on Wednesday...
