Well, thought i'd start a new thread and give praise to a few key players last night.
Bate - 21 Disposals in just over half a game of football in his 2ND GAME!!
Dunn - First Gamer cut Milburn to pieces in all facets. Kicked two and set up a few goals aswell. His disposal was very silky for a first gamer.
McLean - LEGEND, this guy is a future Captain at melbourne!! 28 Disposals alongwith 2 goals and 8 tackles.
Robbo - Playing through pain a injury that would of kept him 3 months on the sidelines. Kicked two goals, one in which was a MASSIVE 50 metre kick in the rain. And nearly took the Mark of the Century and im not joking.
Davey - His evasive skills are bloody amazing, one of the most genius players ive seen in my footy time.
Bruce - another 3 votes for the brownlow, 3 goals, Triple Double, 30 Disposals, 4 huge tackles. One of the best players at our club.

wasnt going to make a thread as i was preety confident about the result during the week but in the rain to kick 80 something points is preety special.
3 close games in a row reallly gets the confidence up..
go dees, next up the dockers to =P~

I tipped the Dees too! I quite enjoyed watching the Tassie boys in Green and Robbo kick some Geelong arse.... was quite good, I too was impressed with those youngsters you mentioned mate, very promising starts. Watching post match I discovered you guys are basically operating on your second string backline thanks to injuries... amazing job!

Too bad I'm sniffling and feeling like crap as I had to sit in the pouring rain for 3 hours :-(

Great game! The future is indeed bright and the clubs on field mentality is changing rapidly. Good tough hard committed football.

Thats what i have noticed also...their tackling and contested posessions appear to be much better over the past 3 week. Bruce is a god and McLean had a fantastic wet whether game!!!!

Bate...well to finish with 30 odd possies in his second game in the rain against the early season premiership favourites is a very good sign for the Dees. Might be time to buy him for my dream team!!

ive had bate on my bench from the start in the dream-team. he got 21 disposals dvs.
yeah thats what i have been most impressed about is our tackling we no longer are a soft side, i think pickett's presence has really rubbed on most of the team. 85 tackles against the pussies is quite an effort and if im not mistaken we lead the AFL in tackles.

lol it shits me to see the pies on top of the ladder but i said it at the start of the season adelaide is the team to beat. The Crows are #1 in the comp in my book.
the pies have yet to beat a really good side though. But they will make the 8 because they get to play these sides twice. Not fair but thats what you get when you have the $$$

oh settle down here Jonno i disagree with you there mate. You are being abit harsh. Why do people knock us when we are going well, knock when we are shit it just never stops.

I am actually gonna give the Dee's a rap here. They are at this point of time the best tacklers in the comp by a mile. Brock is a star (told ya Jonno ) Batesy had class in the TAC, so he was always gonna do well. Dees have done a good job with him rather then rushing him in last season in his debut season. Its a credit to em' .

i NEVER said mclean isnt a star i just said i see Col Slyvia developing as a better player which he is yet to show this year.

man im not knocking you congrats you got 5 wins but all im saying is who have you beaten!

Im glad to see "Choppy" playing well for the dees. He doesn't get heaps of it (When he gets 20 disposals it's like he's gotten 40). But he is very good with the 1 percenters. I know when he was at Port it lifted us, and from what I've seen as of late Byron's really playing with some renewed passion this year. My missus still rubs it in that Port got rid of Byron So hard seeing him in a dees jumper.
