Hi All,

At the moment, i use Excel to list my collection of cards
I'd like to manage my lists more effectively & possibly upload pics of various cards, rather than use various Excel lists & other storage sites

Wondering if anyone uses a Database Software to list their cards ??
Any comments would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,
Andrew

Andrew,

I have a database that I started to use for all my NRL IP sigs and other NRL auto's......not used it so much recently but I still have it on the PC. It has issues with Win7 Ultimate, no crashes or anything, just warnings about something I can't remember.

Here is a screen shot of the database main screen, the user can change the fields to whatever is required from memory.

I use the comics collector software from Collectorz. Field names are changeable so I have made a couple of modifications but it's almost perfect for cards straight out of the box. It is set up for collections so has status such as 'want', displays images (as 'covers'), exports to html if you want to do a website, and also syncs to various handheld devices so you can take your lists with you.

I am just trialing that now for my budding comic collection (added 4 more from GL Vol 3 today)..............if I like it I will buy a license for continued use

i did use their game collector software. I wish they just made their software for all things not many packages for one thing only.

I use their book collector software as well. I agree that it's a pain that they have different software for different types of collections, but I guess there's a lot of fields that are different and people who aren't familiar with databases might not be able configure for their own use. I do need to get into xtml to create card suitable display templates.
