Hi all. Received some cards in the mail from a transaction this week and was far from impressed. One cards was only in a penny sleeve, and the main purchase appears to be damaged which the seller did not disclose. I sent the seller a msg immediately and am yet to hear back. Was just curious as to anyone could assist with the normal protocol in such cases? This is the first time I've encountered such an issue and any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds like they weren't protected enough, and you need a resolution. If the deal was on here, contact the admins if you don't have any success with the seller.

yes the mods have seen your report and as Bill has pointed out, makes it hard for any comment when we do not have much in the way of details from this post.
1. Best thing you can try to do is to make contact with the seller. Try and come to some sort of refund/return arrangement.
2. If you have any other details try other contact means (facebook, email), try others he has recently traded with.
3. Leave appropriate feedback. if the seller did not protect the card in an appropriate manner.
4. if you paid via paypal you could also investigate that route if the seller doesn't come to the party.
and if it is the one that I believe it is, the person has not made a post since agreeing to your trade thread.
whilst it has shown they have been online, they may not have been (it could have been their homepage which someone else has accessed) or not in a position to reply, I often access the site at work on my phone but cannot easily reply.

Thanks Andrew. Didn't really want to say too much without some advice. Also didn't want to leave feedback without allowing a reasonable amount of time for a response. Thoughts? Seller is Tim Hann. This was the trade agreement: http://www.ozcardtrader.com.au/community/threads/noodles34-tim-hann.170487/
And the message in which he approached me for the sale: http://www.ozcardtrader.com.au/community/conversations/merret-dps.485096/
And here's some pics
That's how they were inside a bubble mailer. Merrett inside top loader but Heppell only in penny sleeve stuck to back of sticky top loader.
Now it was hard to capture in a photo, but I used the light/shine to show a significant crease running right across card, through players hair.
It's also in a general crap condition in my opinion. Having dirty (food?) marks, one on left just above player's shoulder and another top right inside the signature box.
Pretty sure member has broken a few site rules in the way cards were packed as well as not disclosing cards conditions accurately. Very angry!
Is there damage on the Heppell? I can understand frustration on the way it was packaged, some will argue that "it's a base card", but it still needs to be packaged properly. If there's no damage on it, let this one slide, but make a mental note about it - perhaps it's a learning curve for the seller.
Were you provided with scans prior to purchasing these cards? The Merret looks like factory marks to me. I'm struggling to see the crease, but that "food mark" looks like a factory "nick" to me. Quite possibly the same for the "crease".
The Heppell is a little worn and grubby, but there's no way you could argue a 1 per box insert has the same standing as a base card. Site rules clearly state penny sleeve, top loader and bubble mailer minimum requirements. Whether the crease is factory fault or not (I'm tipping you're 100% correct) doesn't mean it shouldn't be made clear. No, I didn't get shown scans nor did I request them so that's definitely an error on my part. Just feel that it's so easy to notice when seeing the card in person that I'd find it hard to believe the seller didn't know. I'm basically expecting to write this sucker off as still no sign of a response
Agree with noodles, regardless of the condition of the card when it arrives, it has to be packed with the site rules in mind. There is a minimum standard.
