Damaged card out of the pack

Hey Guys,

Just wondering what you guys have done with cards that have come out of the pack with damage. Is it worth contacting Panini to see what they can do about it or do I just have to suck it up as bad luck?

I got this Blake Griffin from a group break and I never noticed the damage on the top right in the video when it was first pulled but once I received it this stood out. Looking back on the video of the group break, it was there when the card was pulled fresh out of the box. All the other cards in the box look ok.

You would hope with the price of Immaculate that they'd pay close attention to stuff like this.

I'm pretty sure that little dent isn't normal, is it?

That's a weird little mark indeed.

You can definitely contact Panini, pretty sure they wont be able to replace it with the exact same card though which is unfortunate as that patch is pretty killer.

But maybe they will replace it with a slightly better card...

There is a section on their website to request replacements for damaged cards.

Yeah, it was in the middle of the pack too so it's not like the box got damaged and it was the first card in the pack to absorb a hit. Will contact them and see what they offer I guess. I do love this card though.

I had a damaged Innovation Ink Gold /25 Nick Young with a corner that had come unstuck. Contacted Panini and they ended up sending me a new box of 12/13 Innovation for free.

@Mused We can't offer any priority support but if it was through Cherry then link them the video and explain that it was via us. They know we have a great reputation and have assisted many of our customers!

I also have had a number of positive experiences with Panini customer support, so I'm sure they will work with you!

Update: Returned card to Panini. They said the damage was minimal and offered replace the card with something of similar BV ($100) or they could send the original card back to me with "another small card (from a favorite team?) as compensation".

To me, the dent was more than minimal and decreased the value of the card significantly so I opted for a replacement card.

I've just been notified they've sent me a Blake Griffin - Timeless Talents Signatures (12-13 Timeless Treasures)....

Really? They've replaced a jumbo patch card from a premium box (Immaculate @ $479USD/box) with a sticker auto from a $35USD/box? Can't help but feel I've been jibbed by Panini... and the ticket is now closed by them... Won't be doing that again!

wow did i read that right ? they kept the jumbo patch and sent you a timeless treasures ? or did you get both back ? (that imo does not cover the damage at all).
pretty shitty deal from Panini tbh

@Grindnation:

Yep, you read that right. They KEPT the Immaculate jumbo patch card and sent me a Timeless Treasures sticker auto as a replacement. The BV is the same but the quality of the card is not. It's like an insurance company writing off a BMW worth $50k and replacing it with a Holden Commodore worth $30k that has a paint job and worth $20k - sure the value is the same but they are not comparable.

I logged a new ticket saying I wasn't happy with the replacement as it is no where near the quality of the Immaculate Jumbo patch and they've told me I can send the Timeless Treasures card back and they will send me my original jumbo patch card back.

So now I've paid $40 in postage ($20 x 2 because I got it registered and insured) to get end up with my original patch card - still damaged. Only posted the Timeless Treasures card yesterday so probably have to wait another 6 weeks for my original card back. What a mess!

Ouch sorry to hear bud, really sucks! They could've replaced the card, with the same one using the same patch you would think.

Hey guys, I pulled the exact same Griffin card from a group break, with the exact same little dent. See below. Must be some sort of machine or device they use to assemble the cards, leaving an indentation on it.

Maybe if @Mused and I contacted Panini at the same time they would take it more seriously.

then its def a major flaw in the production !.
i would be super pissed off if i had to take that as a replacement.
hopefully it all works out for you @Mused.
@Fleer57 do you happen to have footage of the break ? maybe send it to @Mused to let them know its not a one off thing.

good luck boys!

Yes i do have footage. Well it's on the west oz breaks website, it was a group break. Interestingly my card is numbered 11/21. So the very next card.

ALSO... believe it or not there's a 3rd person on here with the same dented card.
@kenny3011 picked one up too!

There is clearly a issue with the production then, Panini should take a look at it if you guys work together and post video's to show the breaks.
Good luck!

yeah i'm sending mine back to panini. I dont mind getting an equal value card as I was going to sell it anyway. I sent them a message saying 3 people have the same problem. Will see what they come back with..

@Mused @Fleer57 good luck boys ! make sure you all give each other video's to show your proof and the above links showing other defected cards.
they should look after you after all of this hopefully!.
