I ordered a few boxes of cards from Dacardworld last week and was told it would take 3-5 days shipped by UPS Worldwide Expedited.

The tracking webpage for my package said it had arrived at my local depot in Brisbane (about 1hr from where I live) at 7am Friday morning and the last status update said-

Brisbane, Australia08/24/20121:28 P.M.The package was left in a UPS facility.
08/24/20127:53 A.M.Destination Scan

I called UPS this morning and was guaranteed that it would be delivered by 5pm today, which it wasn't. I called the customer support again and they said they couldn't tell me why it hasn't been delivered and is still sitting in the depot and the best they can do is have the depot give me a call in the morning. Very frustrating to say the least! The wait is annoying but the idea of not knowing what's going on is worse!

I'm not sure why it has been such a long process considering it is a standard parcel, customs can't be an issue because it is no where near the taxable value.

Would be more than grateful if anyone can shed some light as to what is or might be going on?

Not really, I have ordered quite a few different times from dacardworld and if ordered on a Sunday I get the stuff by Wednesday and have never had a problem. I would say that it will be with you tomorrow.

Let's hope so, starting to get abit worried especially if it's been in the depot for 2 extra business days without explanation.

I've ordered from Dacardworld 3 times now, always have my order within 7 business days. One of those orders took about 2 days to get to Perth and when it did it took longer than that to get to me from their depot to my house. No idea why. Everything I've ordered has arrived safely though, hopefully yours should be with you soon.

It all comes down to the delivery company UPS contracts out in your local region. For me, it's Carramar Deliveries (based just outside of the ACT) and all of my deliveries from dacardworld go through sydney(botany). I placed an order today that will be at botany by friday morning but won't arrive here until monday morning as Carramar doesn't deliver on weekends.

If you check the tracking details on the UPS site it will have a delivery date. They wont deliver until that date regardless of it is sitting in Brisbane depot.

I had a package via UPS that wasnt due to be delivered until Thursday from their site but it was sitting at the Brisbane depot today so went out to Murarrie and picked it up. They were more than happy to hand it over with photo ID.

yeah i finally got it this afternoon, no real explanation as to why it was sitting in the depot for 2 extra days other than the fact they were busy.

i was thinking somewhere along the lines of what graham said. was temped to make the 1hr drive from the coast.
