Ask 10 different collectors what their favorite part of Panini America’s annual Father’s Day promotion set is and you’re likely to get at least four different answers. For some, it’s the multi-sport base set (including a few extra surprises this year); for others, it’s the unique memorabilia cards or the strong autograph checklist.
But for many Father’s Day devotees, it’s none of those things. Instead, it’s the rich parallel chases that can be found in the stunning Cracked Ice and HyperPlaid sets. So as we continue our unadulterated preview assault in advance of next week’s 2016 Father’s Day promotion, we thought we’d focus today on the set’s powerful parallels.
