I've literally JUST started an account on COMC (behind the times, I know), and I must say I've not had any issues.
Yeah, you need cash upfront to make offers, but that's a great concept! You won't get any wankers laying offers on cards they can't/won't buy! If an offer is accepted, it's pretty much a done deal. Be good to see some of that migrated to a site like here, would certainly help with back and forth negotiations, and/or people not going through with offers they make, etc.
I put down offers on all 6 of the cards, some were accepted, and others countered. Some also had a minimum, where by they were either accepted or countered. I might have over-paid on 1-2 cards, but made up for it with 2-3 others. So I was rather chapped at the overall purchase. Which worked out to be about $5US dlvd per card. Something you wouldnt get on ebay.
Does anyone know how long it takes for postage on an order? Placed an order for 6 cards, and just went with base postage option, not knowing if I was paying for a service that wouldnt happen (ie, there's no description on their rates, so you don't know if they're ACTUALLY putting a priority on your order, etc).
Another thing I wasnt sure on, was the buyer security, if there is one, and what the mediation/support process would be if someone does not receive their cards, etc.
If I were CGA I would concentrate on specialising in Australian cards releases (NRL & AFL). Also they need a population report to show the quantity of graded cards processed for each set.
I get cards off their mate and mine take minimum of 6 weeks to get here, they will come tho, have bought about 6 different lots and no trouble so far, just thought I'd let you know being a fellow tassie
New to COMC as well and have to admit the Shipping alone is worth it. Got my first shipment of 24 cards about a week ago. I did get an e-mail with tracking info, but the cards arrived before it ever showed anything. I am in US by the way. Shipping was $5 and took 3-4 days.
In shipping they do charge .20 PER CARD to put it in a hard case. Was packaged very well and received all cards with no damage.
