http://www.ozcardtrader.com.au/community/threads/introducing-comc-challenges.161710/#post-1428782Apparently there is some legal disputes between COMC and Beckett. Is this true? and if it is, does anybody know what is happening.
this...COMC has been pretty diplomatic about this whole issue but just going through some possible rationale behind this whole movement. Some purely speculative reasons could include
1. Beckett just wants too much money for using their data.
2. Beckett's data is not comprehensive enough to cover many sets that are not listed there.
3. Beckett's book value is completely crap and out of touch with the actual sale value.
Again, these are just pure speculation but what other possible reasons can there be?
This article gives a pretty good overall view of the lawsuit.

The main catalyst for the 'divorce' appears to be a COMC tech scraping all of Becketts checklist
data, which they are claiming copyright over.
All of Paul Leskos columns on the various trademark registration battles, etc between card companies
are also great reads..
