Hi everyone,
No doubt most people here have read a certain thread where it appears that a very well respected member is involved in a trade that has gone bad. I feel for the people that it has affected and I hope it can be resolved quickly and amicably.
Had today's story involved a new member who had done something wrong we would all have a different perspective on the matter, in the fact that it is a member involved who has hundreds of positive transactions and up until this point, a good reputation.
However there is one thing I wanted to remind everyone about.
99.9% of the people trading on these boards are great traders and people we should continue to trade with. Don't let what has happened create any doubt when trading with other respected members here. The best advice I can give is to protect yourself as best you can when doing deals and follow the steps contained in the trade threads.
Like any forum, community etc there will always be that small percentage of people that do the wrong thing. In the case of the member I am referring to above, I simply dont know the facts to make a call whether or not they are part of this small percentage, but I will admit at the moment it doesn't look great. I am sure there is more information that we are yet to be aware of.
To the international collectors who trade here, please dont let a small percentage of trades that have ended badly, tar all of the collectors here with the same brush.
This place is a great place to be a part of, we have some very well respected and trusted long standing members, some great newer members and of course Slobby.
Lets keep it the way it is and I hope to see lots of great cards changing hands.
Cheers
Matt
