Collecting Kawhi

Seriously reconsidering collecting Kawhi Leonard after seeing this! Looks like we have a new DRob in the market whose collectors have deep deep pockets! Gonna have to find a new PC player I reckon!

Pretty crazy. Some skepticism around this price though, some on other forums are questioning it.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's legit.

Buyers pay stupid prices for rookies. Most end up with a $100 card instead of the $5k monster they were hoping the player would be.

I think this is price is way too high personally, Kawhi will be a star, but I can't see him getting MASSIVE hobby love that will see his cards spike from here.

But hey, the buyer may just be rich and want his best rookie with the best patch.

Problem solved Kawhi out and Deshaun Thomas in...nice to have 2 PC players with no cards around lets me focus on Parker, Gervin and Splitter and a few set chases with the new 2012-13 Panini Innovation

pulled a really sweet redemption of kawhi, a 1/1, like him alot at a pc, but unless I can pull his cards or pick up steals that fall into my lap then I an't chasing, some people way over value cards

yeah I reckon I will keep the few Kawhi's I have and maybe get some lower end sigs in the future but I have better ways of investing 3 grand. Imagine if Kawhi does a Greg Oden...you never know what a rookie is gonna face in the years ahead which makes card collecting a hobby and not an investment.

I got out right when the big spenders were getting in! Worked a treat for me!

As soon as I started to miss out on winning cards because someone else was outbidding me by over $100, I knew it was going to get too serious for me! I only do this collecting thing for fun, so stuffed if I am going to spend a years worth of private school for my kids on a single card!

If I hadn't sold up, I probably would still have the biggest Kawhi PC in the world, as I had several 1/1's, as well as about 10-15 cards that were /5 or /10 and up until Panini Signature came out, that was a lot! lol

But by selling at the prices I did, I was able to keep spending on cards without dipping into my 'family money'. So it was a no brainer for me!

Kawhi is still one of my favourite players in the league, but with the amount of money people threw at me for the pieces of fancy cardboard I had, I am happy to not own a single Kawhi card now! lol

Danny Green breaking the 3pt record in the finals sure helped too!

I have a couple of Danny Greens both preferred. One is the green Panini Sig #4/5 his jersey number. Didn't realise it till just the other day and didn't pay overs. Happy to pass them on if you are keen!

I think it is a lot of money too, however, he just had a breakout playoff series and he is a rookie. I don't think he will get a lot of future hobby love unless he develops a cracking offensive game. But for now, this is what fad collectors are wanting to collect and pay for Leonard!
