Hahaha eat a big fat one to all the celebrity Lakers fans that where posting pics of CP3 in a Lakers jersey. Wonder how many celebrity "fans" will be at Clippers games now.
But I'll wait to laugh a little more when the deal is 100% done.
The clippers are again without a legitimate big man presence in the middle. Kaman was the best center the franchise ever had and helped to make them (somewhat) respectable. I'm sorry, but DeAndre Jordan is nothing more than black version of luc longley.
This trade for CP3 and signing Chauncey and Caron, rather than holding the starting 5 of Mo Williams/Bledsoe-Gordon-Aminu-Griffin-Kaman/Jordan and hopefully picking up a long-term piece with 'Sota's draft pick, pushes the Clips into 'win now mode'.
Not only does the Clips chance of re-signing CP3 hinge on it, but they've seriously mortgaged their future to get him. Hope it works out for them...
This is interesting too... If CP3 can turn Okafor and Chandler into half decent offensive players with alley-oops, imagine what he can do with two of the top three dunkers in the NBA: http://www.cbssports.com/nba/dunk-o-meter/yearly
That first-round pick would've been crucial considering next year's draft is going to one of the deepest ever. Could even match the 2003 draft in terms of quality in the lottery picks...
i feel bad for Dell Demps. i think he got caught in between and ultimately run over by Stern and the league's handling of the situation. not surprised if he decides to resign after this.
