Perna Studios (ie Tony Perna and family) produced a set with images from classic mythology. The 30 card base set has artwork from Greek, Egyptian, Japanese, Celtic, Norse done by some of the best sketch artists around. There is also a 5 card preview set, 5 different promo cards and a 5 card clear chase set from Hindu mythology. Each sealed set had a sketch card and there were various bonuses.
The artwork on this set is truly spectacular. I bought 5 sets. Here is a selection from the base cards and (bottom right) one of the clear chase to give you an idea of the quality.

You can't really tell from this scan, but the Soni has gold flecks on the belt buckle and other accessories and highlights in Medusa's hair. The Japanese character is also beautifully rendered. Since I can't possibly afford to do a master set with 1 per artist, I think I will try and get 1 sketch per mythology.
