Chris Cairns Smashes 140 in first Canberra Grade Innings!!

As the title says Chris Cairns debut for Norths this weekend was a success. 140 from 66 balls from a total of 314 first 50 from 39 balls the next 90 from 27 balls . 13 6s all up i believe. poor old anu fielders spent a fair bit of time scaling fences to get the ball back and the basballers on the next feild had to duck for cover plenty of times quote from opposition Captain "it was awsome to watch but u dont want to be on the end of that but its good for the local comp" Next day he played the mighty Weston creek and was dismissed for 40 but could have been out for about 20 if they had taken a catch

What a bonus for Canberra securing a player of this stature. Awsome to watch unless you are a bowler.
