I know it's a few years old now, but if you want to properly illustrate South Africas ability to choke in world cups, fast forward to 13:14 in this video

i watched the south africans batting there was a mixture of very unlucky wickets and some absolute terrible wickets, the first 5 batsman where unlucky,
amla how often do u chop it onto the wicketkeeps foot to first slip?
smith there to drive but just scopped it
kalis smashed a pull shot to a good catch on the boundry rope
de Villiers was running so well and fast between the wickets but decided to fall asleep
duminy worst cricket shot i have EVER seen

Unlucky? Only dismissal that was unlucky there was the Amla, which was pure luck.
But, Smith's shot was unforgivable, he should've hit it to the fence, all he had to do was hit it along the ground.
Kallis tried to play the big shot to bring up the fifty, all he had to do was roll his wrists over the top of it and he'd have two more runs. He knew Oram was there.
De Villiers' was run out by Du Plessis and took on the best fieldsman in the world in Guptill. That is no exaggeration, Guptill is a freak in the field.

de villier got ran out by a guy that just came to the crease itching to get off the mark, guptills throw was well wide how was is he the worlds best fielder?? pitty he cant bat

Who cares if they choked? I suggest you go to cricinfo and read all the articles which they had published in reference to them choking. Also, Im pretty sure all the players and South African supporters are BITTERLY dissapointed which was suggested based on Graeme Smith's press conference which I heard on The radio and saw on foxsports news in the space of an hour.

Man-for-man, and statistically, South Africa have New Zealand covered every day of the week. South Africa absolutely took the gas against New Zealand, some of the shots were pretty hairbrained when you consider the amount of time they had to chase the runs when Kallis was dismissed.

Sour grapes? What are you talking about? I couldn't give a stuff if they made it further than us. We lost to a better team than us. It's not rocket science.

It's obvious that you actually do care that you didn't make it further then us as you continue to deny that NZ was the better team on the day. You have also said you'd rather lose in the QF, the reasoning behind that I am unsure of? :|
If it's not rocket science then you would've expected that we lose to South Africa. Based on your theory than New Zealand must be the better team.
Just because Australia FINALLY didn't do so well in The World Cup you come out and have a dig at me for saying that SA choked, it seems your both upset at Aus losing and against me being happy for NZ finally doing the opposite.
Let me enjoy it while I can, unlike you.
