Hi all

For a long time, we've had a standing rule of no group breaks on OZCT. Over time, we've noticed there are members that love to do group breaks where teams or spots are allocated.

So in order to give our members what they want, we've teamed up with one of the most trusted and respected group breakers going around to bring you Oz Group Breaks.

@cherrycollectables will be the exclusive group break provider on OzCardTrader, providing a reliable and trusted source for group breaks for those members that want it. Members will be able to sign up to group breaks through the site as well as use the OzCardTrader feedback system to exchange feedback with Cherry.

All upcoming Group Breaks will be posted in the Selling, Trading & Auctions forum and the Live Break will be on the Cherry live break feed - links will be posted in the respective threads. We hope to be able to provide a video feed and chat room directly on OZCT into the future.

If you have any questions please contact Cherry directly or for an FAQ and all of the associated rules on Oz Group Breaks you can click on this link http://www.cherrycollectables.com.au/pages/case-breaks

I know Cherry is busting at the seams to get these going, and there are already 3 group breaks on the horizon. Keep an eye on the Buy/Sell/Trade forum for details and the opportunity to sign up. We also will have a give away for our Premium Members for a spot in one of the breaks.

We hope that this provides our members with another avenue to help expand their collections.

This is good news and good to see that the mods have finally realised that this is a service that needed to be offered and I wish cherry collectables all the best with this venture.

I do have some questions suggestions though

Will cherry consider changing from two teams per slot to one team per slot to give more people the chance to enter as a person can not always afford the cost for two teams?

Will cherry being offering group breaks to members at cost price?

Will a mod view the randomisation of teams so that the integrity of the randomisation can not be questioned?

Yeah I think Cost price is the issue, while it is great to see this service offerred... the whole point of the group breaks is not to be payng overs. Cost price would be great.... teaming up with a business = cost price being less likely I imagine.

Hey guys, great to see so much great feedback!

Some points:

1) We are going to offer 30 spot, cheaper 'random team' breaks, 15 spot 'draft' breaks and high end 'hit drafts' for a small number of players.
2) Case breaks are at RRP Price as per Panini's policy, so it is cost price. It's not US price, but thats because there is taxes, shipping, GST and a lot of time required. We have to pay taxes and if anyone thinks we make good mayo on this then they should check out my car...
3) We do want to offer the absolute best value for these that we can though! So, we will have a number of incentives for 'unlucky' people
4) All random.org activity is recorded and available at all times on OZCT via the live feed. All breaks will be shown live and recorded. Happy for anyone to link this vid. I film Recaps the next evening and can link to that following. We are working with a number of live streamers to try and negotiate a better platform for these shows.
5) Thanks OZCT and all your great members. We love giving back to you all because you give us so much enjoyment.

awesome. im in for a few for sure.
soooo...whens the first one?
We will be posting an Immaculate one today - $105 (Given it is the highest end product since exquisite...) But I'll create another mid-range break by the end of the week. I'd also like to stick to 'Sealed Cases' at this stage as I think the customer knows exactly what they 'should' be getting for their money.

Is there going to be a dedicated section (maybe in the box breaks section) for the cherry group breaks?

I think I may be down with the immaculate break. I've never done a GB before, sounds like a bit of fun.

Graham toyed with the idea of a dedicated section, but I think that until it has enough of a following it should remain in front of the most eyes.

Oh and it's Oz Group Breaks Nick... get it right ;)
