heading overseas on thursday but need to kill 12 hours before heading out. decided to hear to the cbd to kill a few hours but i dont want to use the skybus as it costs an arm and 5 legs.

anyone know a cheaper more cost effective route. traveil time is irrelavant

have the skybus fares changed? they are usually reasonable for the speed that you get in and out

Not many buses go from the airport to anywhere and certainly not to the city; thats what the SkyBus is for.

I'm not sure what a cab ride from the airport to the CBD would set you back but I'd say it would be at least $30 each way and the SkyBus is $26 return.

A bus does operate from the airport to Sunbury but Sunbury is about 45 mins train ride to the CBD. And believe me, people in Melbourne think it's ****ing stupid that there isn't a train line to the airport either.

what are they playing at, surely it cant be hard toset up a train line to the airport

by the way, do you have the old 48 bowman of mikan

And yeah, youd think, considering it's all paddocks between the Craigieburn line and the Bendigo line at Sunbury.
