Channel Nine to broadcast first ever live women’s cricket match

Channel Nine’s first ever live broadcast of a women’s cricket match will take place this Sunday 21 February, when it broadcasts the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars v NZ Twenty20 match from Bellerive Oval.

Channel Nine will begin its LIVE broadcast of the women's match at 3pm (AEDST) .

Mel Jones, former Commonwealth Bank Southern Star, will join Michael Slater and Mark Taylor in the commentary box.
The men's international Twenty20 match between Australia and the West Indies at Bellerive Oval will follow the women’s Twenty20 match on Channel Nine from 6.30pm.

this is good for women's cricket but alas, noone gives a **** about the ladies in sport and this will be shuffled under the carpet in a matter of weeks...
