Well I have to say I am impressed, I met Craig at the Sandown card show on the 3rd March (beginning of the month) and brought some cards along with me to get graded, and as my collection does not really have any high end cards that would deserve grading I racked my brains and came up with the below cards as a bit of a mix for my first experience.
1989 Fleer - Larry Bird
1999 Skybox Premium - Paul Pierce rookie
1999 Skybox Premium - Paul Pierce fresh faces
1995 Futera Cricket - Damien Fleming
(I got the auto at my cricket club on a sportsmens day he was speaking at, great bloke)
Talking to him at the show and looking at his display of graded cards I really liked the look of his slabs, so was excited to get mine back. I got an email on the 19th from Craig telling me they were completed and on the way back with a tracking number.
A knock on the door this morning and I was holding a neat little box with my prizes inside and some bonuses:
Excuse the Pics, took them on the phone contents: a Thank you for using CGA card, my 4 graded cards, my top loaders and card slips returned (nice, I didn't even think about getting them back), my report for the Larry Bird card, some business cards and a nice black CGA pouch for storing the slabs.
The slabs are even better than i thought and the cards sit nicely:
1999 Skybox Premium - Paul Pierce rookie
1999 Skybox Premium - Paul Pierce fresh faces
1995 Futera Cricket - Damien Fleming Auto
you will notice the Flemming is ungraded, this is due to the fact that CGA does not do autographs yet, and to grade the card it would get graded poorly because the card is drawn on (makes sense considering the auto is not graded). I am still happy having it slabbed though.
1989 Fleer - Larry Bird
I chose to get the report on this card due to its age and can I say CGA does not miss a thing, the report and grade is accurate, down to the printing plate alignment.
As a first time grader I am more than happy to get more done, the grading is fair and the slabs look great, the service was great and Craig is a top bloke.
I hope this post assists people in making their minds up in getting some cards graded and to use craig.
I am happy to answer any questions and thanks for looking..
