Celtics v Heat 2011 Playoffs Second Round Thread **SPOILERS INSIDE**

What about the other 50 games he played? I never really followed his play this year(being that James is the only player worth watching on the Heat).

Inconsistent. When the Heat won and he played well, he was praised. If the Heat lost and he didn't get a double-double, he was slammed. Pretty much just as the wins go.

He still played at a high level for most of the season (after all, he was an All-Star and that was prior to the Heat ending the season strong), but I think he was uncomfortable being the 3rd option not because of his ego but he just wasn't sure how aggressive/tentative to be. That's why for large stretches of some games you'd see him doing nothing on offense outside of hitting mid-range jumpers. Once he realized him being aggressive won't fault the team at all, and LeBron and Wade are willing to share the ball with him, he started clicking and it translated to wins.

Just read all these comments and it sounds like Boston could of won. Is it worth watching the replay, or just go with highlights?

Is it a boring and ugly game, i.e missed shots, lots of TO's etc...

I think it was an ugly game, and I say that trying to speak as objectively as I possibly can. But if you have nothing else to do, may as well watch the game, at least it's OT

Would be nice if ESPN showed the other 3OT game though too

Meh, well just watch highlights, game ends at 10:30, I got school tomorrow. NBA.COM does a good job of putting highlights together.

Yeah no point doing that mate. I only watch games that I know the result of if I've already taped it on IQ, that way I can forward to the 4th quarter and watch from there (and get all the good stuff).

ok.....................I see what you mean, stating the obvious huh....but thats what most of you guys do all day on here and its only obvious to those who watch the game. I was just excited to see the Celtics lose.......cant help that

Just watched highlights, and wow, what an awesome game!!! Loved when LeBron hit a 3 after Allen's 3, which tied it at 84!! Bosh's tip in was the moment of the game...just think if Boston get the rebound, time-out, Ray Ray hits a 3 we go to second OT...different ball game. So Bosh's tip in, DID make the difference!!!

Wow! Then what does that make KG then......?

Also plays dirty? Why people can't judge a player (in this case Wade) on his own merits rather than "compared to KG" and stuff is beyond me....
And I never said it was a bad thing, I personally love it, great entertainment value and shows real passion, imo. Malice in the Palace is probs my most memorable NBA moment, for sheer shock factor alone. Never said it was a bad thing.

No way Wade took Rondo down? Serious? What was the foul called for? Not to mention the leg sweep by Wade? After the ball was loose, Wade took 8 more steps backwards through Rondo.

Malicious
-adj
1. characterised by malice
2. motivated by wrongful, vicious, or mischevious purposes

I did say Wade didn’t intentionally hurt him, but it was, as above, malicious....

garnett is the love to hate guy! i hate him cause he plays for the celtics! but i admire his game and his passion for the game, he is the best defensive power forward to ever play and i still think is the best player on the celtics team, he goes for 28 last game they win, he shoots 1-10 tonight and they lose! that says it all i think, and he has pretty much made bosh a non factor in this series (bosh wasnt bad today though) just like im a huge kobe fan, you get the kobe haters out there that just continually pick pick and pick again, thats fine, dont like a player, but also be objective and dont always "compare" and "let stats rule your way of thinking" it goes beyond that! and by the way, i say this even with kobe out of the playoffs
