Celtics v Heat 2011 Playoffs Second Round Thread **SPOILERS INSIDE**

Lakers gone and Celtics on the way. Now i can sit back and enjoy the playoffs knowing those two can't win it.

I take outplayed to mean overmatched or shut down. Bosh did neither to KG.

Bosh had a better game than KG, simple. And overdue.

Hey who do you want to win? Just so I can root against them

.... I don't know about all that ... You can ONLY say Bosh "outplayed" KG because Bosh got that Tip In at the very end. Other than that, Bosh didn't "outplay" KG. Stats are not everything. You gotta watch the actual game man.

That's not saying KG played great, he really could of done a ton better.

Fair call. I'll settle for Bosh had a much better game than Garnett... Whatever that means.

I know that stats aren't everything, but some stats are absolute. For example Bosh scoring 20 points. 20 points is 20 points, without those 20 points the Heat would have lost the game, plain and simple. The boards probably don't mean as much, who knows if they were important rebounds or easy rebounds etc. But points are points man.

Bosh got slammed last game for having a shocker. And now Garnett has done the same, so I'm just giving him the treatment he deserves. It goes two ways, and there's no way you can possibly say a 1/10 shooting performance in 41 minutes isn't terrible.

Tonight 8.30pm on ESPN.

Matt...do not watch the replay, that is if your tv is still in one piece.

Set up some games of Poker and take some money from me. I would have preferred to say... and donate some money to me but don't want you to depressed.

Nah i don't support any team. It's too hard to support a team in the NBA because the players change teams so much.

well that's a shame

Bosh got slammed for having shocker after shocker after shocker game, Garnett doesn't deserve "the treatment" after having a 28 & 18 game on the way to the hall of fame, somewhere Bosh will never be! Also, he didn't go to Boston and parade around on a stage dancing to music and high fiving Ray Allen and Paul Pierce like a bunch of jerkoffs.

Just finished watching the replay of the game. Congrats to the Heat and Lebron especially for his efforts today. That stone cold 3 when they were down 84-81 was probably the difference along with the layup Rondo missed.
KG stuck a Jackson Pollock performance next to his Mona Lisa show the other night. My gods that was painful.

Props to Bosh - they basically run no plays for him the whole game and he gets 20-12! That's pretty damn good for a 3rd banana. If u wanna argue KG vs Bosh it's no argument. Sure KG does more via screens and D but he contributed a 1-10 5 pt performance! That's crap in any man's books.

Funny thing - this series is not over. A Heat scribe on the net predicted Miami winning the first 2, Boston to blow them away in the 3rd, miami to squeek the 4th, Boston to win in Miami and then Miami to win game 6 in Boston - So far he's picked the bones out of it....

Finally, Rodno hit some shots but he couldn't set up the offence hardly at all and that does hurt the C's....I can see a window closing but it's not shut yet....

YEAH!!!! Well done to the Heat for closing out the game in OT, it looked like boston had the upper hand but the heat wouldnt back down, they stuck it to the celtics and was an awesome win.

Thankyou, at least once KG fan can admit the truth.

Thankyou, at least once KG fan can admit the truth.

KG actually left Bosh to help others at the start and Bosh was like 3-9 or something, then he got his mojo and hit some shots. Meanwhile KG completely lost his! He'll be going mental replaying this game in his head...will be interesting to see which KG shows up...they made a pretty pathetic effort to go to him in the post and he doesn't help himself at times cos he never demands the ball.

The heat box score is hilarious - check out the spread of points!!!

Are you serious Matto? Here's a recap of what's happened so far.

Game 1: Garnett 6 points and 8 rebounds on 3/9 shooting, Bosh 7 points and 12 rebounds on 3/12 shooting - Heat win
Game 2: Garnett 16 points and 6 rebounds on 8/20 shooting, Bosh 17 points and 11 rebounds on 5/10 shooting - Heat win
Game 3: Garnett 28 points and 18 rebounds on 13/20 shooting, Bosh 6 points and 5 rebounds on 1/6 shooting - Celtics win
Game 4: Garnett 7 points and 10 rebounds on 1/10 shooting, Bosh 20 points and 12 rebounds on 8/17 shooting - Heat win

In Game 1 they pretty much canceled each other out. In Games 2 and 4 Bosh clearly gave the Heat better production from the PF spot than Garnett did for his team. Game 3 Garnett clearly won out.

How you can say Bosh got slammed for having shocker after shocker, when he has played better than Garnett in more games this series is beyond me. And about the Hall of Fame, great we all know Garnett is going to be a first ballot Hall of Famer. That's got nothing to do with this series though, I'm not talking about careers, I'm talking about what is happening right now.

I'm deciding if I want to watch the replay later........

slammed since he joined the Heat I meant. You were saying KG was getting what he deserved for having 1 terrible game after a vintage gem. Bosh has been getting picked on for being soft and terrible since he joined Miami.

Surely not man! You already know the result. How could you bare to watch knowing the final outcome!! Unless you plan on writing notes and emailing them to Boston coaching staff for a film session

I still like watchin ball. Maybe would be better watching the 3 OT's again of the Thunder v Grizz actually

My copy got deleted the second I finished watching. Just like game 7 last year. Only got wins on dvd or the hard drive!

I always remember Hakeem used to send games home to Nigeria to his parents. They never realised he lost a game till they came to watch him live!! He only sent wins over!

He hasn't been slammed the entire time since he joined the Heat.

Don't know if you remember but after the Heat were "crying" in the locker room following their 5th straight loss Bosh went public about demanding the ball. Since then the Heat have gone 22-5 (including the playoffs) and Bosh has posted 14 double-doubles and scored at least 18 points in 17 games of the 27 games. This has largely been due to him getting the ball on the block and in the post, and demanding it more. Over the course of those 27 games he's played tough, and let's also remember he's playing third fiddle so scoring a clip under 20 points per game is pretty solid. But yes he had a shocker last game, but that isn't a reflection of his recent play.

I like watching too. Just not if my team loses and I already know they've lost. The triple OT game IMO would be a lot more entertaining to watch. I heard both Conley and Vazquez pulled out some ridiculous shots, and Durant was flat out stroking it at the end.
