My wife has magic hands..
She was bored waiting for me at the train station yesterday and went down to Al's Card shop to buy a few packs of cards.
She picked up some 08-09 Hot Prospects, 08-09 Fleer and two packs of Upper Deck MVP.
We busted the 9 Packs of Hot Prospects and really nothing to write home about. Did get some more Blue Parallels for the chase set and some other chase cards not really anything to write about.
Then we opened two packs of Fleer, and to be honest, what crap cards. I was not impressed with the design or quality of the cards.
But she also got 2 packs of MVP. I busted my pack and got the typical mix of cards, one nice silver signature in Tim Duncan and Kobe Insert for the PC.
While sitting on the train, she gets real excited and say's she got some redemption, and I was like, you have to be kidding me.
She pulls a UNCUT sheet of Kobe Bryant Insert black Kobe MVP.
I was like, you to girl! She starts reading the back of the card and its ALREADY expired. I am like, you have to be kidding me!!!!!!!
5 months after the product is released, its already expired, there is NO WAY in hell that I was going to put up with this. We decide to try and redeem it online anyway and see what will happen. The online redemption was good, the webpage came back and said that its on order and will be coming when they can fill the request. Now I am a bit sussed as the card also says they will fill the order with the product or something similar.
She shot an email off to some dude she is chatty with at UD last night, he shot one back this morning and said that they will honor the redemption.
Now I am like, MOJO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now we are just hoping it shows up!!!!!
I think someone local here also is getting the same, maybe Terry, not sure. But he won his a while back. I am hoping ours show up as that is one nice classic piece to have.
