I just got a parcel in the mail from Whitestrokes who some of you may know from the beckett boards. Chocked full of Celts commons and Perkins RC's

An interesting card is this Chris Herren auto. He has a sweet auto but that not what got me hooked. This guy was an absolute star and heading for a great career in the NBA but stuffed up with drinking, drugs and partying before he even got to the big show. He went to Denver but got canned and Boston tried him as its his home town before letting him go. Goes to show you can all the talent in the world but if you are an idiot you wont make it.

Guys like this have legend status in small communities across the US and people still talk about him but for now he is just an after thought amongst guys that never lasted in the league. I hope he has cleaned up his act now.

Not worth a mint but a card with a story for the PC.

Yeah he was a great player and well known nationally before the NBA but also because of his troubles. Any team that took him took a chance and in the end it didn't pay off.

I thought when we signed him that it would be good for his career being a Boston boy but he fell off the wagon. At least we aren't still paying him like Baker.

That's one shitty story about Baker too! And isnt there some talk he may return (not for Boston, another team)???

He signed for the Clipper but we still have to pay him. Explain that?? He even plyaed for the Knicks after us too!
