Have you seen some of their 180 odd cricket listings?

Some absolutely beautiful cards listed, but I think I would have to sell my plasma to pay the premium they want for them...

A symonds freshman for $25, an OCT member sold me that for $8...

I particularly like the look of this one but it will have to wait until I win ozlotto tonight

1996 Mark Waugh 4-up Signature Uncut Sheet - eBay Individual Cards, Trading Cards, Cricket, Sport. (end time 11-Jun-09 20:27:40 AEST)

Mind you they sold the premier batsmen numbered, unsigned card for $130 already, was only in my watchlist for a day and that went for $130, guess it depends on how badly a collector wants them

Am toying with the idea of paying the premium for the freshman cards, but in reality probably wont, until I win ozlotto tonight - then I will buy the store

yeah. there boxes are maybe a tad over the market price. but some great cards

Their cricket boxes are pretty well priced, considering they are the only regular ebay suppliers of a varied range of cricket boxes that I know of? I guess if they had competition on ebay for the boxes the prices would be lower, but from what I have seen they don't?

Their singles are definitely a tad over the market price though

Unfortunately there is nowhere else to buy Futera boxes now, and given they are all 12-16 years old I think their prices aren't too bad - they won't be available forever. In fact only a few days ago i picked up boxes of 95/96, 96 World Cup, 96 Elite and Decider Regular from them. Now I just have to resist the temptation to open them!

I must say Liam I am surprised the market price for Freshman cards is so low - packs of 96 Elite were $6.95 at retail and there was only 1 Freshman on average per box, so it really should go for more - perhaps I undercharged you!!

About 6 months ago I had to bite the bullet and cough up $125 for the signed Mark Waugh 4-up. If you can't find a card anywhere else and you have no patience to wait for it to pop up then they are a good place to buy from - but you do pay a premium.

Seriously though cardshowcase (cardzone) have always been there, for us even if they are a little expensive. I will be looking to buy more boxes but since i am getting married in a couple of months and moving house next month i will be a little quiet in the near future! Will walk into card zone cashed up in November and will lash out and buy the 2009/10 select base set! and then concentrate on building my futera collection again!!

hope people do buy their base sets from card shops like the zone, as that way people stick clear of the $15 delivred base sets on eBay which is just rediculous. Before 09/10 i relesased im going to make a thread asking people to keep the prices high as they are to low due to so many items on eBay.

end rant.

Dan, Im glad I dont have the temptation of living close to the store, because I would be in there every other week! Always better when you can see the cards in hand too, makes you more willing to pay the higher prices when you can clearly see the quality! I just bought one of there 93/94 sets for $45...

If the quality of the 09/10 set is the same as the last 2 releases I will stick to cheap ebay prices

No she is priceless!! She likes going to the footy she loves watching me play cricket and watching the big boys play and she is supporting Australia in the ashes and she is English!
And she likes that i have a hobby! She even came to the last card show in melbourne! Much better than my first wife!! Taking all that into consideration i am happy to be Pu$$ywhipped!!!
