As a buyer, there has to be a level of accountability to research what you are purchasing. The Australian market isn’t and never be akin to the American market where graded common rookies fetch a premium.
The hobby is also booming. I am predominantly an NRL collector but look at a variety of cards. Prices for some NRL cards, have tripled in the last two years and looking at the latest AFL release, some cards are expected to fetch north of 10k!!

morning, thanks for reply, thats good to hear the market is picking up, wow, cant believe AFL cards are so valued, by comparison a small market, to most other sports outside Australia, do you think outside markets are having any influence, ie India with cricket cards,
I don’t know for sure but it would be hard to think a cricket mad nation with a population of nearly 1.4 billion wouldn’t have an impact somewhere along the line.
