I was surfing around ebay and found this site. Has anyone know about it. I don't wanna send cards til i know other people have used this service. Below is the link to there ebay deal.
I'd like to know who it is, what sort of experience they have etc. All well and good to say you're a grading company but unless you can prove that you know what you're doing your on a road to a hiding.
They will need to ensure that fakes, altered cards, reprints, trimmed cards etc don't make it into slabs otherwise that will kill business pretty quickly.
Is there insurance for cards while they are being graded?
How are the cards handled and processed upon arrival. Is it being done on the kitchen table?
Good on them for having a go, but that's just a couple of the questions id be asking before even thinking about using them.
Hi all, Craig from Card Grading Australia here. I just posted an introduction saturday so you can all read that if you choose. To answer some questions on this page, we have our Certified grading service listed on ebay and we have feedback of zero because we have just started. We are happy to earn our reputation starting from scratch. Our certified grading is designed for bulk lots of lower end cards and we never claimed they were slabbed. Both our other grading levels will 'slab' the cards and our state of the art ultrasonic welder has been delayed but should be here early February. As for the grading scale, we decided to stay similar to most american grading scales for the sake of consistency for collectors who already have graded cards. Our Comprehensive and Autographed grading levels have a 100 point scale which means we grade with much more detail than the americans. Our 30 years experience in printing means we can tell the difference between a damaged edge and a nick in the guillotine blade. We have already seen altered cards here in Australia (and they were australian cards) so we can easily identify alterations. All cards sent to us are fully insured, we will have a copy of our current insurance with us at trade shows so anyone who wants to see it can see it. We are happy to answer any questions you have so please contact us, all contact details are on our website. Regards Craig.
