Hey guys..... we are currently using this cordless phone in our house: Telstra Home Phones - Product Page - Telstra 9150 DECT cordless phone

Shortly I will be adding another line to the house for business use and I am planning to buy another phone (cordless) but am wanting to get a different model/brand.

Anyway... I was wondering can you use different types of cordless phones in the same house without them interfering with each other, like with the frequencies or something!?

These are the models I am looking at:

Telstra 9850 DECT Cordless Phone | Harvey Norman Australia
Panasonic KX-TG6621ALB DECT Cordless Phone & Answering Machine at $63.00 in Panasonic Cordless
Uniden DECT 3035 Cordless Phone - Home Phones - Home Phones - Phone & GPS | Harvey Norman Australia

Thanks!

Ok.... so after doing some more reading I'm still a little confused. I read you basically have the choice of either a DECT phone or a DSS phone.

DECT runs on it's own frequency and DSS runs on either 2.4Ghz or 5.8Ghz.

Since we currently have a DECT phone would buying another DECT phone cause interference and should I go with a DSS instead?

Thanks!

If you have any static on any of the phones put a filter in the line. They just plug in and are fairly cheap. Most phones will work together but some just dont like each other.
