As title says can someone here with a old 1995 league album, reddish in colour, dynamic, help verify authenyicity. Distinguishing marks such as a phone number and "abbey" imprinted in the plastic at rear, top corner of spline and description of metal spline/makers name etc, anything ..cheers steven
Should have nothing on the back - just red - nothing imprinted
The spine should have an ARL symbol at the top with a line saying officially licensed product.
Under that it says "1995 Rugby league trading cards Official trading card album" then under that it says "produced by Dynamic Marketing and Printing" with their victoria cross building address at North Sydney.
You should not be able to remove the cover from the folder.
Yeah that all checks. Distinguishing.... On the plastic itself, if looking directly at spine, to left of the ARL insignia on the "bend"- red plastic is the word "abbey" and phone no. imprinted. Is the metal base clasp rounded as in the 1994 or three faceted. thks for help
Thks Owen, the abbey, ABBEY (02)638644, is a plastics company,ABBEY GROUP, from Sydney, says from 1970. The phone no. on their website is now different..that easily could be a good sign. The metal clasp on the one i had delivered, has a three faceted base with"KOLOMAN HANDLER" and small"REGISTERED DESIGN" below. Two base pins are evident at rear of folder. Reason i'm clarifying is this folder looks too good to be true...or i am lucky this time. thks
It is pristine, absolutely looks perfect out of store. For 15 year old, no marks on metal, shiny as annd plastic not a scratch/mark with sharp new contrast. corners sharp and colours vibrant. As if i walked out of card shop in 1995.
There is a lot of copy/print stuff out there with some sellers cutting the top of outside clear plastic, inserting cover print and spine print, then sealing.
