HI all...

stumbled across these some time ago in an old shed..
i did do some research and worked out that the team members listed on them is from he 1948 test match Eng vs Australia ( held in England i believe)

other than that i have NO IDEA what they are or were used for......
do i just throw them in the bin??
( where HEAPS more, but they were destroyed (water damage etc)
(they ere found in an OLD glass jar burried in the back of a chook shed)

looks like they may have been some sort of gambling with the numbers sought of like the ones you get at the footy now but rather then first three scorers it looks like the top players from the match

It's like a Calcutta.....a game (form of gambling) that uses the results of individual players to generate a points total. That's the best I can come up with....definitely don't throw them out though!!
