Now, for many years, I have known that this is is a no no and have been told so.

So, good old me, runs into one of these sellers, whom has responded "very impolitely" for my liking.
Now, I am really annoyed.

Have I mis-read something, or is this still not allowed.

Mike.

Nope not allowed. A seller should factor in paypal fees and other such fees when selling an item already. They are the sellers responsibility to pay not yours. Paypal fess suck though and have gone up and up like eBay fees to please stockholders.

You legend

Much appreciate the input, I really do.
This seller was very rude and threatening, which I found very distasteful, when I was trying on my part to make it work, even though of their dodiness.
But when they responded the way they did, no thanks.

Cool, I'll contact e-bay about their request and agression as well.

Yeah, ebay are relatively OK if you have an email showing the seller saying that they are charging you more to pay their ebay/paypal fees. They should get a strike against their account for that, and hopefully one for being abusive.

Cool.

Now, it doesn't take a genius to predict this guy is going to Neg me for this. Which will be my first ever :(
But, e-bay will remove this yeah?

Hopefully there are regulations against neg feedback in this situation. But protecting a perfect feedback rating is more trouble than it is worth, IMO. I couldn't care less if an ebayer has a few negs, I wish they were easier to find in the feedback listing, as all I care about are the associated comments. But 100% or 99% or even 95% positive, doesn't make much difference to me.

I would hope so too.

True, but I guess with the sellers whom don't ship to OZ, this is the key to me convincing them to ship to me. It has worked wonders for sellers whom seem unbudgeable to ship here, but they will for me.

But I would agree with you, I'm sure sellers aren't that anal about it all?
