I have never had a card graded or seen one in the physical form before, and was just wondering if it's possible to remove them from their cases for whatever reason?
Just judging from pictures online, it seems as if they are sealed in those impossible to open plastic Razor Blade packaging that requires an industrial strength power tool to cut open.
Is that correct or are they just like any other top loader and can be opened up at your desire? Then again i doubt that would be the case as then anyone could chuck in a fake MJ Rookie card in replace of their actual one and sell it off i guess?
They can be opened, but not without destroying the case. You have to be very careful not to damage the are while doing it. I did it with a sharp chisel and it was pretty easy. The case shattered to pieces and went flying everywhere though. lol
Haha thanks for that I was thinking that i'd LIKE to have my graded cards all from the same place, so if i bought/traded something from elsewhere, that i could take the card out and send it to my preferred place.
But in the end i;m just creating even more trouble for myself doing that + the extra $$. Still, it's good to know they are definitely protected and require a bit of effort to damage them
