Hi All,
Peter from gamedaytradingcards.com. I am looking at doing some upgrades and adding to my website gamedaytradingcards.com. I want it to be used as a source of information for old collectors , new collectors and attracting new people to the hobby. The best people to give some feedback on this are you the people in the hobby already. Take a look at the link below as a sample of one product review currently up on the site. Also go to the home page as is and give me some feedback on navigation, load up and the overall look and feel. Any suggestion on things that would be handy tools, changes to design or you would like to see as a collector. Thanks in advance for any feedback. Be honest I can take criticism that is no worries, positive feedback is also appreciated. Post your thoughts in this thread if you like or send me an email.

G'day Peter.

Ive been a fan of your website since i first discovered it around the middle of last year.

It has been a valuable tool for me, mainly to have a look at the past sets released by Select as i missed out on everything between 1995 - 2011.

I have watched ALL of your Youtube videos of Strike breaks, and a lot of the Infinity, my 5 year old son watches them with me and he noticed Tom and Jerry in the background lol

I always check back to see if there has been any updates and am looking forward to videos of the new NRL series.

The only downside to your site IMO is the lack of in-depth coverage of the sets up to 2011, but that is to be expected considering the site is still in relative infancy.

But yeah, its impressive so far and cant wait to see it fleshed out with more material.
 
Peter, the site is very busy and colourful with a lot on each page which is good. I would find it a bit easier to find where I wanted to go if the clickable headings were a little larger. All the upcoming ratings on each set with all box bust odds etc is great. Obviously you'll add the older years down the track which I look forward to seeing. When I went into previous releases to check it out then wanted to go to another year, I found myself clicking go back a lot. Perhaps a shortcut to the list of releases may make it easier to navigate in that section. Overall a great site mate. Well done

Holy crap Peter.... You will never get a job at SELECT with an attitude like that. The less SELECT hear from collectors, the better. They don't want imput from us like you... I guess its because they are perfect already.

I have never seen gamedaytradingcards before so I will have a look.

Thanks for the feedback Mischa. Easier Navigation and reducing clicks is definately on my agenda.
 
Peter only a couple of things I noticed from my look thru, what I don't like is that the site only uses the middle third of the page, a lot of wasted page space to the left and right of your information. Second, I went thru to the team links to have a look there, I clicked on the link to Broncos cards and was taken to a page where you had what was currently listed for sale on eBay, fine there but there was all teams so I ask what's the point on a team link?

Hi Dave thanks for the feedback. I get your point on the dead space left and right. Will look to improve this on redesign. The link from team to that page is currently useless. I am in the process of doing up complete new backroom pages for each team. Those shops were designed several years ago and worked off category numbers. Ebay went and changed all the numbers on me and stuffed all those shops.

Hi All,
I am madly working in a dark room to make updates to gamedaytradingcards.com and gamedayshops.com websites. I am working on a new layout and easier to use navigation. Thanks for feedback so far and any further input would be greatly appreciated. The new sites are planned to launch March 12th inline with the release of 2012 products. Thanks again and thanks in advance for any further feedback. Back to my cave !!!!

PS More Youtube box breaks and Product reviews coming in 2012.

Hi All,

New website is coming along. Will have a sneak peak ( taken a leaf out of Select's marketing policy ) up this Friday...

Will post in this thread when link is up along with new youtube videos for 2012 AFL Champions.

The complete website will now launch MONDAY 2ND OF APRIL.

The new product profiles are really well done, i like them, will you be re-doing all of the past sets in this way?
 
Thanks for the support shane. Most of them have already been done in the new format ( massive job ). Just fine tuning and adding misisng bits. Will all be up with launch on April 2.
