BUYING REDEMPTIONS ON EBAY?

hi,

Just wanting to know some thoughts about buying redemption's on ebay.

Is it recommended o get the cards sent out, or would it be ok to just get the codes emailed?

I get the cards sent out personally myself, mainly cause I hang on to the redemption card as proof. Not sure if that matters.

Most sellers wont just send the codes becuase they can get an item not received and will not have proof of shipping, but if they are willing, I would!

I have bought dozens of redemptions as codes only for >$3 each because of no shipping! But technically, if Panini asks for the card to be presented, you are screwed!

They never have on my redemptions, but the cards do say to keep it until you receive the card

thanks. I guess once i have thought about it, if i just get the code, and redeem it, there is nothing stopping the seller telling the manufacturer that they have it and i must have faked it. since they have the actual card.
But i guess then i could always use the sale as proof of transaction.
but for the sake of a few $$ postage i think i might just get them sent out...

yeah I've done it through here where seller would send the code to save postage $$ and time but have never had an ebay seller willing to do it.

there has been / IS several atm that have it in there listing stating they would just email the code. but wasnt sure if it is safe for me to do?

I've had codes sent through this forum, just not on ebay.

I think the chances of a seller pulling a swifty are probably pretty slim. I just prefer not to risk it for the sake of $2-3, that's just me.

as a buyer there is zero risk on ebay lol. if they're willing to do it, put some details in the paypal transaction just for extra info/coverage should the code not work

but what about resale value later without the redemption cards? does that make much difference??

Shouldn't make any difference mate.

I've noticed some of the AFL & Rugby seem to buy redemption cards or have them kept with the product but basketball doesn't seem to matter much.

The only redemption cards for Basketball I've noticed matter are old NBL ones.
