Buyer beware....

WOW.. is that technically some sort of fraud?, Are the signatures that obvious as Im not familiar with the Cricketers sigs...

Ebay won't do squat about it... If they had a higher resolution pic you could do more with it, the supposed Michael Clarke, the big one in the pic (look at their sig map if unsure man) and some real ones for instance...

I think the Ponting signature is close.... LOL Unfortunately some unsuspecting buyer is going to get ripped off. Shame really as it is really killing the market (reducing values of all signatures and collections)

all the autos look like they are signed by the same person. What a poor effort and a very low act. Home made COA

Agree 100%

PMSL! Yeah close to something my daughter would scribble  AY didn't know what the cricket sigs should look like when he responded to this thread and I guess the bidders don't either :(

A rather poor effort at the sigs quite obviously:mad:
Like you say some poor sucker is going to be scammed, parting with some hard earned only to realise later:cry:

One good thing with some of the facsimile cards is that it allows a genuine sample to compare against.;)

Happy hunting regards Russell:thumbsup:

They are as fake as Pamela Anderson's you know whats...

Nice response Liam...... Difference being I would touch Pamelas "assets" yet wouldn't touch this shirt with anything !!

Agreed Russell and well said. It is forums like this that can be used to educate punters out there so that is why I will throw things in here I am "suspect" of. On many occassions, other members of the OCT family have also posted and I applaud them for going out on a limb. Fakes/forgeries and the like will be around for ever but the true collector will always be dilligent in their collecting. Education is the only way we are going to be able to pass on our trade to others and help them learn little things like spotting a "suspect" signature from miles away.

I urge all my fellow collectors to keep posting in OCT for the purposes of educating others. As Liam quite rightly said, thE Bay will do nothing about this type of person as it is a revenue stream for them they dont want to stop. You wouldnt believe me if I told you how many times I have written to them to advise of a "suspect" signature or two and they come back with the usual "make sure you ask lots of questions to the seller and if in doubt, don't bid" Awesome response I say !..not !

Anyhow, keep voicing people and good luck with your collecting !!....and if in doubt, ask your fellow trusted members here on OCT !!

Cheers
Damian:thumbsup:

Just sent him a question "Hi, can you tell me if you got all these signatures personally or have you purchased this from someone else.. cheers"
If he responds yes, will ask him if he is willing to sign a Statutory Declaration...
