It's all I use on ebay now, it takes away the worry of people hitting the buy it now and then going through the long and painful process of getting your fees back when someone doesn't pay, and also the inability to relist because you have to wait and see if they do pay.
On the other hand, if someone buys it now and then has to pay immediately but can't afford it for a couple of days, do you think that would detract buyers? Would that buyer come back?
When I have to pay immediately I either do, or put the item on watch until I have the funds.
Does anyone else use this feature? Does anyone have any other thoughts on it?
Generally yes, hence my comment about free shipping. On eBay.com (US) you can add them to your cart and checkout at once. If they've got the combined shipping as a default then it'll calculate it, if not then you pay for each
I don't mind this feature as a buyer. I hate it when they have multiple items I want and combine shipping because it doesn't allow you to group purchases so you have to contact the ebayer via message and risk the item/s being sold in the interim. As mentioned before, to anyone selling this way I suggest listing with free postage.
