Bulls v Heat 2011 Playoffs Eastern Final Thread **SPOILERS INSIDE**

this thread sucks.

when it was the Bulls v Hawks thread it was all civil and everyone got along well.

the Bulls v Heat thread is turning into who has the biggest eJohnson like the celtic v heat thread.

Whose not being civil? It's nothing at all like the Celtics vs Heat thread.....

There is nothing wrong with a good debate, there has been no name calling or dirty acts at all..... It's sport, it's team vs team, of course their is going to be debate, especially when there is a heap of die hard supporters for the 2 teams...

Geeze, some people can be precise (s?)

I personally think the way the Bulls have been playing these playoffs except for the odd 2 games they had the Heat will take this eith 4-1 or 4-2 just really depends on the Bulls, If Rose cont to take 25-35 shots a game then Heat have this in the bag as thats when the Bulls have no offence going except rose and even he shots like 10-28 at those games.
And if Bosh doesnt step up this series this series................As last series i can understand Garnett will frustrate the Sh!t out of anyone defensively!!
Heat in 6

Yeah fair call. I expect this to be a great series!

True dat, I expect this will be a lot more civil than the Heat-Celtics fans. But that's just cause most Celtics fans are c-r-a-z-y and they own it

And hey, who cares if it turned ugly at times. This is a basketball forum, not a bunch of best friends. As long as there is nothing too offensive, no bullying, racism etc I think it remains fine. It's the playoffs after all!!

That's not to say there won't be fire in this thread, because there will be

Boozer V Bosh will be the key to the series

TBH I think they will be equally good/bad and just cross each other off in terms of production. Neither are known to be terribly tough, so I don't see either really bullying the other.

I don't know what you last word is meant to be Ian, is it precious? precise didn't seem to fit well.

Hey what was it also about Oprah getting game 1 moved too?

Too much power if you ask me!

I think she's filming her last ever episodes, thus wanting a larger audience than the normal studio in Chicago. Without knowing for sure, I'd say she's the biggest thing to happen to Chicago besides the Jordan era, and hey, once she's gone, Rose can take over the town with a new shiny ring!

i dont know why people have to get so worked up over peoples opinions, there just that "opinions" not everybody is going to agree all the time and what a boring old world if we all liked the same old thing and followed like sheep! come on fellow members, kiss and make up! agree to not agree and appreciate that everyone has different views and dont get offended by them...simply just come back with something else to combat your arguement!
play nice....
having said that, i reckon the heat will win this series and as great as chicago is, they have had a pretty easy run through the playoffs (no sixers or celtics and i reckon the celtics could maybe have taken the bulls personally) and i reckon they havent played to their potential yet...having said that, if they play the way against the heat they did in the regular series things should be interesting, rose cant do it himself, noah needs to show up and boozer needs to cut his toe nails!!! (turf toe problem then would maybe go away and by the way what the **** bull**** condition is turf toe? was he at the race track and a horse stood on it??? almost as bad as "flu like symptoms that comes up!!) deng needs to be consistent and the bench also needs to fire like they have all season!
miami are playing at a different level in the playoffs and are a looking very formidable, the seem to be more synchrozied and really cant see anyone beating them now...

Strangely enough, I think the keys to this series are in two different areas that aren't getting much press.

First of all, the centre position, purely from a defensive persepctive. Both Noah and Anthony are long an awkward, can block shots, but Noah will give the Bulls more second chance opportunities with his hussle on the boards. Noah could be such a difference in this series. They both have a big white European on the bench, Asik has the inside game, Ilgauskas has the outside shot. A couple of veterans to turn to when the other two need a rest in Howard and Thomas. We all know Lebron and Wade will dominate, Rose will be too much for the Heat to handle, Boozer and Bosh both offer their pro's and cons but the centre position could be the big difference.

Secondly, the bench. We have seen how ordinary and how little an impact the Heat bench has made, even in this solid run the heat have had, it has been Wade and James then every now and then someone will come off the bench and score 7. The bulls have a much more even spread on their bench, they have guys who can score in Watson and Korver and they have high energy impact players in Gibson and Brewer. Heat bench have Miller who can hussle on defense if he can be bothered and can shoot if he gets passed the ball, they have House who is streaky at best, they have a VERY good defender in Chalmers and James Jones who on his night can be good offensively (Just ask Boston). When the games are tight and wearing down, it could just be the team with the bench that makes the most impact that makes the difference.

Bulls, in my opinion, win in both the centre position and have a deeper bench. Could make all the difference.

Can't wait for this series to start.

D-rose vs D-wade, C-Bosh vs C-Booze and Lebron vs all the other Bulls players... hehehe

I'm expecting this to be the best series this playoffs. I am predicting that the Heat will take this in 6 games but if both teams stick to their stingy defenses, it could get to 7 games and maybe at least 2 games with overtime.

I think you're dead on in that the Bulls win both those head-to-head differences. Thing is though, those shortcomings have been there for the Heat all season (as well as a lack of point guard), but they have been off-set by the Heat's top level talent.

Here's to hoping that trend will continue, cause the Sixers and Celtics also had advantages at bench and point guard (not sure about center though).

I's watching Man I love the technology these days, get to watch the game live on TV, accompanied by a box score on the pc. Remember having to wait for the Game of the Week to see any NBA action...

Great to see Deng having a good series opener

Haha yeah, how's that for DWade tasting a little of his own medicine?

I think it might be a good idea, right, for the Heat, to improve their performance from here on, to maybe play a little D on Rose? Just a bit...

Lol Rose has been hitting shots all night that he doesn't normally hit. He's only had like 6 of his points in the paint. Let him keep shooting 3's through the next games and see what happens.

This ones over. Heat destroyed due to being out-rebounded and Chicago having extra opportunities.

Bulls really had a nose for the ball today. The Heat need to start boxing out and showing a bit more hussle. Would be good to see Haslem get a bit of time, he gives a bit of that.

Bulls did what they had to do, win Game 1 on their home floor. That said, Bulls made a LOT of jump-shots today that they haven't made all post-season, so I think the Heat's defense hasn't been too bad. They just got completely out-hustled and out-played for the rock though, will need to show more desire come next game.
