Hey guys, need some help on organizing a bucks in Brisbane in about a week and a half's time. Any locals here who can point me to "interesting" places, as well as good restaurants and venues of activities?
Just looking for some recommendations on restaurants, places to hang out for a few hours, day time activities, exciting places that only locals will know etc.
All depends on what you are looking for bucks party their are a few places for that.
But this will seam funny but theirs heaps to do in the valley at night time and its safer at night thanit is during the day.
Casino in Brisbane
Relax at South Bank just over the river, their are heaps of restaurants their most are over priced.
Clubs Fortitude Valley
Restaurants Chinesse at sunnybank
Pubs the are all the same beside the Breakfeast creek hotel near Albion.
Gabba for A.F.L
Suncorp to watch the N.R.L watch the broncos get beat.
Redhill Broncos leagues club have lunch and watch the broncos train at the same time.
Redcliffe goto a Queenlsnad Cup game watch Petero play have dinner at the club afterwards.
Any other Queensland cup game going on around the place.
Do a dinner or lunch cruise up and down the brisbane river.
And thats just for starters
Ha ha, I saw this thread before the weekend and was trying to think of something for a bucks trip.
To be honest, the GC is so much better set up for bucks parties, it's the seediest place in Australia.
Brissy can still show you a good time though.
The weather is perfect right now too.
The casino is def worth a look.
A steak at either The Morrison Hotel, The Norman Hotel or Brekky Creek Hotel is a must. If you are big spenders, then Moo Moos is on another level of price range.
Going out: you want either Brisbane City or "The Valley". Both are only 15 mins walk apart but have a different vibe.
Bris city bars are your more, collar shirt and leather shoes type places.
The Valley is a younger scene, a little more trendy with lots of nightclubs.
Both have great places.
Fridays is THE place to be on a Friday night. Dress nice. Place gets packed late. Full of office workers. If you have single 30 YO guys in your group, they want to be here.
Dinner: you obviously can get anything you want. The Valley has a lot of excellent Asian cuisine at cheap prices + all are BYO. Vietnamese, Chinese etc. You can't really go wrong. China town is in the heart of the Valley. Not hard to miss.
West End has some very cool restaurants and bars. Lots of great Greek restaurants or Indian, plus some cool cocktail bars.
If you are are in to your DJ's and house music type stuff. The Met is probably the go here.
But you could always just head to the Valley and find a nice bar and crack on. Suss out the word on the street and your away.
If you're in to strip clubs. There's a few all over the place. I guess Love and Rockets is the main one in the Valley.
If you're up for more of a topless bar, than go for the Grosvenor.
Either way, you're on holidays, with hopefully some great weather, plenty of booze and hanging with friends. Sounds like a great weekend
You can pretty much bar hop around the City and Fortitude Valley. Valley has pretty much all sorts of stuff for all tastes so you can pretty much hop around.
Just keep in mind they have a lock in curfew, so if you want to be out all night, make sure you hit your last venue by 2am I think it is, as once you leave, you can't get in anywhere else.
The Casino is not a bad place to end up also as it pretty much has everything but the strippers!
