Hey everyone, long time no see, will make my apologies now. I have been in hospital in traction for the last 6 weeks, I had a very close call on a job site, I was working in a elevated work platform (cherry picker type machine) in Nth Melbourne when a crane lifting a roof rafter (steel) lowered it onto my head while I was busy welding a cleat into position, I was let out of hospital yesterday. Looks good as there is no permanent damage, just a few more weeks of no work and I should be as good as new. I look forward to being back on the forum every day from now on and getting back into a normal lifestyle, 6 weeks flat on the back and bored to buggery.

Thanks mate, yes very lucky, only had a welding helmet on, had to be brought down via the ground controls on the machine, I was about 7-8 metres in the air at the time and it was a bit scarry as I had no movement in my body, the mind starts thinking the worst very quickly.

Dogmans fault, crane was working from his whistle as he could not see where the beam had to go, dogman directed him to lower the rafter when the dogman was not in postition to see where he was lowering it.

P.S still have the starquest card for you mate, I havent forgotten lol
