If Canterbury get knocked out of the premiership I would like to see the Sharks win the grand final. Its been like 40 years for them and their trophy cabinet is virtually non- existent, or very very small.
Losing Oates was huge though. His absence allowed 3 virtually uncontested tries, forced Boyd a wing which really hurt Brisbane's attacking options and also killed those meters he gets from kick returns.
Broncos will make the 8 easy they have a bye then Souths, Panthers, Roosters, Dragons, Eels, Dogs, Storm, Roosters, I cant see them loosing 6 of these matches and even just 2 wins may be enough to scrape in.

That is a reasonable run home except the Storm.
They were a bit unlucky last night should of only been done 18-6 at half time (Vunivalu was ahead of Smith for his first try another bunker error and Koroibete stepped on the line in the lead up to Blair's try touchy must of had his eyes closed). I agree they played woeful but looking at a 12 point deficit instead of a 24 point deficit with the try just before half time they may have come out a bit hungrier and made it more of a contest.
I agree with Koroibete being on the line and therefore no try a play later but I though Vunivalu was line ball for that first try off the Cronk kick, happy for that one to be awarded.

When you see the replay for the Vunivalu try you can see he is on the 40 metre line when the ball is kicked while the kicker (can't remember if it was Cronk or Smith) was about a metre behind the line. Close at first watch but with the bunker being able to slow it down they should have been able to pick it up.
My first thought was offside also but when I watched the slow motion I thought at the time the ball left Cronk's foot they were line ball. The next frame I think makes it look worse because Cronk has pivoted slightly backwards after the kick and Vunivalu has continued the chase. Like I said, line ball and I think it could have gone either way but happy for it to be a try. In any event I am not a huge fan of super slow motion for some of these decisions. One thing is for sure though, Cronk did his homework on Boyd bring out of position a bit, particularly early in the count. I enjoyed Cronk's little pre match interview with Brandy which picked apart Boyd's game
