I meant to take some pics of these after the great man passed on, but my mind was elsewhere and came across them yesterday so here they are...

This is a photo from my 5th Birthday Party (22 years ago  ) with my cake shaped into a car with Brockys #5 on it :) - both of my sisters work for a Holden Dealer here in bendigo, and he made an appearence at their dealership last year so they got it signed for me

And they also got this signed for me, Team Brock hat (still with all its tags and all, never been worn) If i was one of those heartless assholes on ebay i could get a fair bit for this, but it has too much sentimental value for me to sell...

Nice stuff Mat.

If i was one of those heartless assholes on ebay i could get a fair bit for this, but it has too much sentimental value for me to sell...

I don't like that comment though, but your entitled to say what you think. You're saying everyone who sold something on ebay with Peter Brock's name to it is a heartless a$$hole? That's very harsh. I could say more but I respect you and the forum too much to let this get out of hand.

The ones that started selling stuff within hours of his death, yes, profiteering from someones death is wrong, i dont care who it is, Brocky, Steve Irwin, anybody

If you’re looking for someone to blame, blame eBay. This wouldn’t happen without them. Yeah sure it’s opportunistic, but that’s the way everything happens today. Same happened when Bradman passed, but what's the difference between selling after a few hours, 5 weeks or even 5 years? I don't see how it differs. Sports memorabilia pieces are widely considered an investment and has to pull a profit to be an investment. Now profiteering from someones death would be more like re-selling the tickets to Steve Irwin's commemorative service (I think it was called?). But eBay ended those type listings, those are the people who I disrespect and I think that's who you should be aiming at.
