Can someone give me some information on buying old boxes of basketball cards
Just wanting to know the likely hood of these boxes being searched, if there is any point in buying old boxes and also where the best way to get these boxes
I have searched ebay and amazon and postage is a fair bit

Hey Scott,
Most suppliers in Australia won't have many older boxes. They may have a few though. Most may have been purchased from www.dacardworld.com these guys do not search cases and are a very reputable supplier. Postage is not usually that much depending on the size of your order.
Depending on the boxes you purchase and your reason for purchasing you may or may not find it worth while to order older boxes.
If you get a redemption card from an older box, it will probably be expired and you may have a hard time getting it redeemed.
That being said of course you could still pull some really nice cards. Autos, inserts, refractors (I'm guessing you're talking about buying boxes from the 90's?)
All in all I think it's a great idea, but have a look at some box breaks on YouTube first to get an idea as to what cards you could receive.
Also if you want even cheaper postage, a guy named Chris from www.cardsinfinity.Com can get you boxes and open them on his YouTube channel and then just send the cards. Which sometimes can be a lot cheaper then posting a box.
Checkout bbcexchange.com, used before a few times and have been good. Check their site, email for confirmation that stock is there and they will advise of postage based on box size needed for your order.
