Hi all, I'm returning to collecting cards for the first time since 04-05.
I'm just hoping to get some advice about the best value boxes from the last 10 years.
I'm looking for something:
- Affordable (won't break the bank!)
- Decent looking cards
- I love autos and gu cards, even if they're of dodgy players. Would love something with a large amount of autos or gu's per box, even if they're not particularly valuable!
- Anything with retro players is a huge bonus.
Hoops is probably cheapest, some good autographs but maybe no game-used.
Totally Certified is very popular, with 3 autos and 3 game-used per box plus some exciting numbered parallel cards it is good to try.
Maybe what you would like better is waiting for 2012-13 Panini Past & Present.
For older boxes, a lot will have expired redemption cards. So Fleer, Topps and Upper Deck boxes could have that trouble. 2011-12 Panini Past & Present is something to look at, as it is affordable and has retro players, autos and game-used. The rookie redemptions are still valid too, I assume.
I definitely like the look of the Panini Past + Present!
Thanks for your help - next question....where do most people on here buy their boxes from? I figure ebay is a good source, but does anyone have any good online dealers?
