Like I said in Dave's thread...
It's only frowned upon by the collectors that doesn't particularly like them...
Make a nice card, Of thier favourite player....
BACKFLIP!!
The way I look at it, I would prefer the UK Cardz any day over the "Official" telegraph
abominations from last year!!
If I like it... I'm all over it!!

I'm the same, I bought the 2002 and 2003 Knights sets back in the day, and felt like I'd been ripped off. One of the cards even had an image that obviously hadn't downloaded correctly, coz it was blurry as hell.
If he wanted to produce his own cards and actually grow the hobby then there are legal and effective ways to go about it - just look at the Footycards AFL set from last year.
I don't blame you...
The knights set were Rubbish...
For the most part, The set was quite good.
30 Odd players from each team.
-As a point of interest.... Do you still have them in your PC?

They would be in a drawer somewhere, but I'd have to have a hunt for them. They're not in the folders with the rest of my Knights collection.
I did like how they featured the wider squad, I'll say that much. As opposed to the official cards which have much the same group of 12 players year after year.
Could some one define the term "Bootlegging" in terms of trading cards please
the reason i ask is because i made a mock up of an eels card as i am trying to keep my mind occupied while quitting smoking, the wife liked it and asked me to do a tigers card, it was liked and then another was asked for, so on and so on, so i just designed a whole set, now this set has been requested by about at least 15 people does that make me a bootlegger????
my intention to start with was to just design something and have a bit of fun but now if i were to have (say) 20 sets printed i would have to charge what it cost me to have them made up (properly too not the home printer stuff either) or trade for cards of an agreed value........would that make me a bootlegger
or is a bootlegger someone who prints them of totally for financial gain
like i said i started doing them to keep my mind busy while quitting it was only when a tonne of members wanted some that i even gave it a thought and i can tell you there is definitely no financial gain here, take the idea to graphic designer/typesetter and see how much they charge an hr to do them and then print them .
personally, i dont think money has anything to do with it. sell them at a loss or give them away, to me they would still be bootlegs. not that im against it or anything. i think they look real good. horses for courses...
The financial gain is nothing but an assumption...
The average Joe would automatically think that because you got some cards printed up and put them on eBay
(To sell to like minded fans) You must be making a killing and ripping someone/them off!!
-Couldn't possibly be doing it for the love of the Hobby, Game or Team... That's just crazy!!
