Hi guys,

Thinking about selling off the bogeyman collection thoughts or an interest in it?

I have over 130 autos 2 logoman. Numerous 1/1's and patches. Jersey numbered etc.

Yeah just a thought at the moment. I do love the collection but exactly that Elek have invested too much time and money??

Collecting Rose autos and Thomas Robinson too Bill.

Well let the thought pass. I'm sure it's just a momentary thing. All collectors get over their collection sometimes - whether they lose interest, feel like it's a waste of time, or feel like they've wasted too much money.
I've been over my collection before. Sold stuff off, then regretted it. I'm sure a lot of collectors can relate..
Just give it some time, I'm sure your love for Bogey will reinvigorate!
Your collection is impressive, it'd be a shame to sell off stuff then have to restart later.

Yeah true even the Mrs is trying to talk me out of it. I've collected him for over 2 years and don't think a week has gone by without a bogey coming in. Think I would regret it. Might have to think it long and hard before deciding.

Yeah was going to keep 1-4 of his autos and a couple high end 1/1 etc plus a deer head patch I got from a member on here.

Hard decision ahead as most of his stuff is locked away now with big collectors.

Kirsty is a smart girl mate! Listen to her.. :)
You can't sell. It's part of you now :P :D

It sounds to me the real issue is that these super collectors are holding all the cards.
It might make the hobby more challenging, but perhaps just wait til his high end stuff comes up and grab them instead!
Stop with the lower end stuff, and save up big so you can take those 1/1s and Exquisites down!
That way you get the satisfaction of having something they don't have! :)

I think that would give you great satisfaction, and you wouldn't be so involved with him anymore... maybe you and Bogey just need some time apart :P

Haha yeah I already have some high end the other super collectors want :) just getting bored with it.

That's the reason I started collecting t rob :)

Hm I think any collection that has that much effort put into it should be put aside at worst, come back to it later. Also as for T Rob I have a prestige auto of his available :D

Hold until next season. Hopefully he stays for for long enough to boost his prices!
I have been contemplating moving the Blair PC lately too, but always find that picking up a sweet PC Card makes me keen to keep going!

Brett: I think the main problem is the amount of NBA cards that keep coming out - it feels like a neverending chase where you feel you will never ever be able to say "I have finished my Bogey chase!"

I feel the same way with my Gilmore chase most of the time, that the cards just keep on coming out, so much more and more to collect and you never feel satisfied.

Prehaps just spend the next 6 months trying to chase Bogey cards numbered /10 or less? That may keep you more interested and enjoy each acquisition more than picking up heaps of /50, /100 or /299 cards that simply go on top of the pile without much satisfaction?

Appreciate everyone's input and feedback :) Maybe I will hold onto them for now but I do have a few Bogut doubles in my charity sale on at 7pm tonight on Paparazzi FaceBook page.

Remember even though items will be discounted and you'll be able to pick up a bargain or two, 10% of all single card sales tonight will be going towards purchasing presents for the less fortunate this time of the year.

Dude my thoughts are, if you no longer enjoy picking up Boguts, then why do it??

Whos to say youre not gonna be in the same junction in a few months time after investing even more
on a collection thats no longer fun for you...

As you say, keep a few, sell the others and enjoy buying up some other sick cardboard not 'Bogut themed'...
Im sure even if you kept ten high end boguts, youre still going to have the sickest mini Bogut PC..

Diversify I say... thats just my 2 cents :D
