I remember buying a bunch of 05-06 sp game used boxes from this seller a few years ago. They were all tampered and NONE of the boxes even had a single auto or patch in them (all common jerseys as the hits). The same thing happened to a friend of mine. Once we'd opened them it was too late to claim item not as described as we didn't film it etc.
He gave me the same story about the 'drop-shipping' so I decided to test him and bought another box. It was also tampered, but this time I never opened it, told him that the plastic was clearly not the original upper deck seal and he refunded me after i sent it back.
the fact is, regardless of whether or not he tampers them himself or something happens somewhere down the line, he is aware that he is selling tampered boxes and he never did anything to prevent another tampered box from being sent to me after this had been brought to his attention.
Steer clear.
