Well its preety darn big this year and i bought my ticket mainly becuz i was hoping that a band rumour would come true and it did today in the 2nd announcement.
TRIVIUM are playing in this years Big Day Out and also in the 2nd Announcement are The Butterfly Effect.
Im going to see in this order of preference:

Trivium
Muse
The Butterfly Effect
The Killers
My Chemical Romance
Eskimo Joe
Jet

Trivium are going to blow me away, its going to be insane and ONE awesome set.

Who else is going to this years Big Day Out??

I'm passing on the BDO this year and heading to Good Vibrations instead. Jurassic 5 and the Beastie Boys will be there =D>

true yeh depends what music you are more into i guess. both festivals will be good but i seriously cant wait for this years BDO.
I dont know of a more talented group 'instrument wise' going around atm, they have been labelled the next Metallica and even the members of Metallica themselves are blown away at this 4 piece band from Florida.

Well, i dunno if i wanna fork out $120 just for trivium (and muse as well, but im not a huge fan)...i might wait til they come by themselves.

And that good vibes sound pretty sick, is that national or just a NSW thing T? any bill with J5 and the Beasties will be awesome, ive seen both live and they both gave brilliant live performances, especially J5, that was one of the top 5 live acts ive ever seen.

i think ill give big day out a miss this year only bands i realy want to see would be muse & tool, nothing out of the second announcement id die to see.
Just checking out good vibrations that looks fairly cool I'd love to see J5! Seeing Rahzel would be crazy too!

As per usual not worth the money to see those bands. Why can't they just get one year where they get the decent bands TOGETHER! It does depend on the person I understand that but I can't be stuffed getting out in the hundreds to go see bands when you can see some of them for next to nothing anyway.

your opinion, but The Killers, Trivium, My Chemical Romance, The Butterfly Effect, Muse and so one is worth the money lol
Trivium OWN, Best metal band roaming around at the moment probally.

The Good Vibes is virtually the same price and i would only want to see 3 bands on the bill RAHZEL, Beastie Boys and J5.

The pit for Trivium is going to be so fun! Its sold out in Brisbane..

The BDO quality is declining every year. God awful line-up once again. Give me 2003 when it was Foo Fighters, QOTSA, Shihad, The Music, PJ Harvey, Janes Addiction etc etc.

TRIVIUM!!!!! ohh my god, the rumours were true:D im with metallica they are a sick young band on the rise that will turn a lot of heads, their singer Matthew K. Heafy is one of the best singers going around at the moment, not too many guys around that can sing heavy, scream like a madman then slow it down and belt out a slow melody
i think $120 isn't that expensive for BDO, i would be happy to pay $150 just to see Tool again by them selfs, they r by far 1 of the best bands in the world live, although it will be interesting to see how they will go in a festival setting.....plus The Butterfly Effect as well, im a very happy man:D

Thats the spirit :D , and not to mention they have one of the sickest drummers in the world Travis Smith. Going to be good to hear the crusade and than their older stuff. Pull Harder on the strings of the Matyr will be one awesome moshing track. MUSE are also one of the sickest live bands going around, i love the voice of the lead vocalist. And MCR are #1 on the charts and they are a preety good band aswell. Will be the third or maybe 4th time ive seen The Butterfly Effect a very good band and one of the best live bands in the world =D>

pffft, 2004 owned 03.
Foo Fighters and Shihad are the only two good bands u mentioned.

The BDO line up looks pretty good.....im yet to go to a BDO... Homebake is more my kind of thing!

Cheers
Matt

Because Metallica were there  or because The Hoodoo Gurus, Black Eyed Peas and Peaches were on the bill. It was a rubbish line-up.

Muse, Fear Factory, Mars Volta, Lost Prophets, The Darkness, The Butterfly Effect, Jet among others in 04 is not a rubbish lineup.

The worst line-up EVER was last year.
This year still has one more announcement and it is a very solid line-up!!
Trivium is the future of metal so im happy ;) and Muse, TBE, The Killers, MCR im excited to see.

sorry guys, 97 shits on them all: Fear Factory, Prodigy, Offspring, Soundgarden, and Aphex Twin if i remember correctly.

Now THATS a lineup.

Yes that is a line-up. The Prodigy at their Peak =P~

And to see Soundgarden would have been just as good.
